Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith says he is unfazed by the focus on team-mate Aaron McLean following his transfer request.

Mackail-Smith insisted he would be happy to play alongside any of the Posh strikers next season.

"I'm just concentrating on myself," he told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. "We're five days in to pre-season so it's about me getting fit."

"We've got some very good strikers here so it's going to be great competition."

He added: "I just enjoy playing football so it doesn't matter who is alongside me and it's the same for everyone else."

McLean put in a transfer request after Posh said they would not meet his contract demands.

Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers have also put in a couple of bids for the 25-year-old but have been told 3m is the asking price.

Meanwhile, after last season's haul of 19, Mackail-Smith is targeting another successful season in front of goal in League One.

"I don't listen to any talk," he said. "I'm here at Peterborough to concentrate on pre-season, get ready for League One and score as many goals as I can."
