Hyde played 33 league matches for Posh last season
Peterborough United captain Micah Hyde insists he will not be intimidated by their opposition in League One having gained promotion from League Two.
Hyde, 33, insisted the step up in quality will not be too high for any of his team-mates.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "The most important thing is we go out and play and not be overawed by anybody.
"There's no one to be scared of and if we go out and play our game there will be nothing to worry about."
He added: "I personally think it will be more of a gentle progression, I don't think it's a massive jump up from League Two.
"What we have got to our advantage is that we went up automatically."
Hyde, who played in the Premier League with previous club Watford, believes Posh's style of playing is more suited to the higher division.
He said: "We've got a team that likes to get the ball down and play and the higher you go up the more you can do that.
"Now we're in [League One] I think we can play our football and I think we can get the results along the way."
Home form would be key to Posh's fortunes next season according to Hyde, who said: "It's important that we keep London Road a fortress so we can keep our good form, and then see how we do on the road."
