Doble is a Wales U21 international and has been in the senior squad

Oxford United have signed Southampton striker Ryan Doble on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Saints youth academy product, has recently returned from a loan spell at Stockport County, where he scored one goal in three games.

Doble, who can also play in midfield, will join up with Oxford after Wales Under-21 duty, meaning he will miss Sunday's game with Burton.

Meanwhile, United have taken Swansea defender Jamie Grimes, 20, on trial.

Grimes has yet to play for the Swans but has had loan spells at Haverfordwest and Forest Green.
