Oxford manager Chris Wilder has praised defender Mark Creighton's attitude after his return to the starting line-up in Saturday's win over Hereford.
Creighton, 28, made his first ever Football League start during the 2-0 success following an injury to fellow centre-back Jake Wright.
Wilder said: "He has been first class and it has been difficult for him.
"Quite easily Creights could have spat his dummy out but he stuck at it and I'm delighted with his attitude."
He added: "I think that shows not only what we are about as a football club but how the players are as individual characters as well."
The former Redditch and Kidderminster defender had previously only started the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Aldershot this season.
