Oxford United snap up Ben Purkiss and Alfie Potter

Oxford United have signed York right-back Ben Purkiss and on-loan winger Alfie Potter on two-year deals.
Purkiss, 26, played in York's Blue Square Premier play-off final defeat by the U's and turned down the offer of a new contract at Bootham Crescent.
Potter, 21, scored the clincher in the 3-1 Wembley win and has joined from Peterborough for an undisclosed fee.
The pair are Oxford's second and third signings since going up, following Asa Hall to the Football League.
U's manager Chris Wilder told the club website: "We're delighted to have captured a player of Ben's calibre. We will provide stiff competition to Damian Batt.

Alfie Potter
"He gets up and down the pitch, is athletic and good on the ball.
"Alfie is an exciting player and gets fans off their seats, but is a good team player and an excellent pro. He will be a major asset as we continue to strengthen the squad for League Two."
Potter said: "I have really enjoyed my time this season and this was the only place I wanted to play my football next season.
"Wembley was unbelievable but it shows the potential here and I want to try and play my part."
