Wilder's Oxford are in third place in the Blue Square Premier.

Oxford United manager Chris Wilder has urged supporters to remain positive and help his side finish the season with promotion through the play-offs.

The U's boss was unhappy with the reaction of a section of fans to the 0-0 draw against Cambridge United.

However, Wilder said those supporters who were critical were in a minority.

"The support we have had has been unbelievable. There is no way I would criticise the majority because the support has been first class."

He added: "What I don't want to happen is for anything to de-rail the work that has been put in at a really important time in the club's history.

"I want the team to play in an environment that is really positive, productive and confident."
