Former Oxford United chairman Nick Merry has resigned as a director of the club for personal reasons.
Merry was replaced by current chairman Kelvin Thomas at the Kassam Stadium last October.
A former United youth team player, Merry took over the club in March 2006 but was unable to prevent them suffering relegation to the Conference.
The club have thanked him for his efforts and say they will strengthen the board in the upcoming months.
