Sandwith will move closer to Oxford after signing a new contract
Kevin Sandwith has signed a new one-year deal with Blue Square Premier side Oxford United.
The defender will stay with the club after a successful two-month stint.
The 30-year-old quit troubled Weymouth in February and linked up immediately with U's manager Chris Wilder, who had previously been his boss at Halifax.
He told BBC Oxford: "It's a big relief to get it sorted so early. Now I can enjoy my summer and look forward to the coming season."
Sandwith played in 12 games at the end of the 2008/09 campaign for Oxford, scoring once as the U's averaged two points a match.
He added: "I knew the size of the club I was coming to anyway [but] to be involved in these big games and the crowds turning out like they did do, it makes your mind up for you.
