Oxford wait for rivals to slip up

Oxford United's hopes of making it into the play-offs in the Blue Square Premier could be ended on Tuesday evening without them kicking a ball.

All their play-off rivals are in action and United need results to go their way to make Sunday's final matches of the season decisive.

"There are games up and down the country and there are teams we need to win," said Oxford boss Chris Wilder.

The U's are two points behind Kidderminster who are in fifth place.

BBC Oxford Sport has a sport special on Tuesday night (1900 BST) with coverage of all the scores from the Blue Square Premier.

If Histon and Torquay win their games, and either Kidderminster or Stevenage win their match, then United cannot go up.

However if Barrow hold Torquay, or Histon fail to beat Weymouth, or Harriers and Boro draw their game, then United's final game of the season, against Northwich, will be crucial.

Additionally there will be news on Oxford United against Banbury United in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final at the Kassam Stadium, and reports from the Southern League games involving Oxford City, Brackley and Didcot.
