U's season still alive - Thomas

Kelvin Thomas
Thomas has been delighted with Oxford's form under Chris Wilder

Oxford chairman Kelvin Thomas says the spirit in the United camp means they will not give up on promotion until it is mathematically impossible.

United are five points off the play-offs ahead of a home game with Wrexham, and Thomas is calling for fans to help them win their final four games.

"United's season is very much still alive," said Thomas.

"Saturday's home game against Wrexham is a chance for every United fan, young or old, to get behind their team."

He added: "Don't let anyone tell you this is over, as Malcom Boyden (BBC Oxford's Breakfast presenter) says 'We Believe' and what an atmosphere it will be on Saturday when we show it."
