Nelthorpe to channel aggression

Oxford winger Craig Nelthorpe says he will use his aggression more effectively after missing three games for being sent off against Torquay.

The 21-year-old denies the challenge that earned him the red card was malicious but he has been warned by manager Chris Wilder not to repeat it.

"The gaffer has had a word with me about it," Nelthorpe told BBC Oxford.

"He doesn't want me to lose the aggression but just control it. I have to use my head more."

He added: "It was a silly tackle to go for like that as it was on the half-way line, but that is the player I am. I need to curb it and just concentrate on my football."
