Oxford United midfielder Adam Murray says Saturday's 5-2 defeat at Histon was the most disappointing moment of his footballing career.
The U's were humiliated by the Cambridgeshire part-timers and Murray told BBC Oxford that the display cannot be allowed to be repeated.
"We have to make sure it never happens again. For me it was the lowest point of my career," said the 27-year-old.
"The performance was awful, there was no passion and no pride."
The former Derby County and Macclesfield man added: "It was rubbish, absolute rubbish. You can hide behind excuses but I think our fans deserve the truth."
