Oxford United booked their place in the first round proper of the FA Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win over Blue Square South side Hayes & Yeading.

The U's survived a disallowed offside goal in the first half and took the lead through Jamie Guy on 56 minutes.

Fellow on-loan striker James Constable made the game safe 16 minutes later with his sixth goal of the season.

The U's victory was marred by a late injury to Oxford right-back James Clarke, who was taken to hospital.

Young left winger James Dobson made his debut for Oxford in the closing moments of the match.
