Oxford United defenders Matt Day and Luke Foster both lined up for England C in their 6-2 defeat by Bosnia-Hercegovina in Sarajevo.
Transfer-listed defender Day, 21, scored one of England's from 25 yards on his international debut.
The former Portsmouth player told BBC Oxford: "The keeper made a mess of it, but I am claiming it.
"We were Conference players, they were on the verge of the Bosnian national side and their finishing was awesome."
The team had arrived a day late in Bosnia after bad weather had forced their flight to be diverted to Split in Croatia after initially being sent back to Vienna.
Day is hoping to stay at Oxford and said before the game: "[Being in the squad] is a bit of a confidence boost really. I was on standby and got a phone call on Thursday. I was happy and my family were really happy."
