Oxford manager Darren Patterson has said his team can improve even further after they came from a goal behind to take all three points at Northwich.
Tuesday's 2-1 win was their first away from home this season and Patterson told BBC Oxford there is still more to come from his players.
"I have got a very honest bunch of boys, they've been under the cosh and under pressure.
"We are grinding things out which suits me until we get everybody back."
Patterson added: "There is no reason why we can't use the last two performances as a springboard for the rest of the season."
