Oxford United have signed 20-year-old defender Karleigh Osborne on a month's loan from League Two side Brentford.
The centre-back will go straight into the squad for the game at Northwich Victoria on Tuesday, 2 September.
Osborne told BBC Oxford that Brentford boss Andy Scott, who had a spell at the Kassam Stadium, recommended the move.
"He told me they were a good club, good set-up, good staff, good manager. I just want to get my head down and play some games," he said.
Oxford United have also confirmed that they have given short-term deals to midfielder Levi Reid and goalkeeper Ben Hinchcliffe.
Reid has been given a six-month contract, while Hinchcliffe has been given 12 months.
