Patterson does not think the friendly schedule is too demanding
Oxford United boss Darren Patterson says his players are in no danger of burnout despite a hectic pre-season.
Patterson told BBC Oxford that he has been working hard with fitness coach Jordan Milsom to ensure they will be in peak condition for the new campaign.
"We've been guided by our conditioning coach with our programme and our preparation couldn't be better."
He added: "Everybody is getting the right game time. We're bang on where we need to be."
United won their latest friendly game 3-0 at Milton United with Matt Taylor, Sam Deering and Eddie Hutchinson scoring the goals.
The match also saw a debut for trialist Diogo Andrade.
