| | Wednesday, 12 February, 2003, 17:50 GMT Oxford release Ford Oxford United have announced first-team coach Mike Ford has been released from his contract with immediate effect. The former captain and caretaker manager had been number two at the club since Ian Atkins' arrival as boss in November 2001. A club statement read: "The club feel that a fresh balance in the coaching staff is required if the club is to progress. "The club would like to thank Mike for his efforts throughout the years at the club and wish him well in the future." | |
