Oldham Athletic captain Reuben Hazell has left Boundary Park after failing to agree a new contract.
The 32-year-old centre-back was out of contract this summer and was offered two deals by the club but indicated he would now not be signing.
The former Aston Villa trainee joined the club in September 2007 and has also featured for Tranmere, Torquay, Kidderminster and Chesterfield.
He made 166 appearances over four seasons and scored seven goals.
The club also confirmed out-of-contract left-back Paul Black has been offered terms, but discussions will resume when he returns from holiday.
