Oldham Athletic have released experienced striker Darren Byfield.
The 32-year-old joined the Latics earlier this month on a short-term deal but failed to score in three substitute appearances and one start.
The former Aston Villa, Walsall, Rotherham and Gillingham man scored once in eight games during a loan spell at Boundary Park last month.
Boss Dave Penney told the club website: "We will channel our resources and the way we play in a different direction."
