Oldham boss John Sheridan has praised the club's owners for keeping hold of his best players in January.
A 3-2 win at Millwall on Saturday kept the Latics within five points of automatic promotion, Chris Taylor's 10th goal of the season clinching it.
Sheridan told BBC Radio Manchester: "Full credit to the owners - they could very easily have sold Chris in the transfer window.
"It's important we keep the best players to get out of this division."
He added: "Chris is an Oldham lad. He loves Oldham, he supports Oldham, so I think he wants to play here for a long time."
