New Notts County manager Craig Short has made his first outfield signings as he looks to build for the club's first season back in League One.
Blackpool striker Ben Burgess and Doncaster midfielder John Spicer have both joined last season's League Two champions on two-year contracts.
Burgess, 28, started his career at Blackburn alongside Short and has also played for Hull and Stockport.
Spicer, 26, began at Arsenal, and has played for Bournemouth and Burnley.
Short, who was named Magpies boss in June, has already signed goalkeepers Rob Burch and Stuart Nelson.
