Doncaster Rovers midfielder John Spicer has joined League One Leyton Orient on a one-month loan deal.

He is already named in the starting line-up for play-off hopefuls Rovers' trip to Brentford on Saturday.

The 26-year-old, who has been at the Keepmoat Stadium since 2008, has played 58 games for Sean O'Driscoll's side.

Romford-born Spicer, who started his career with Arsenal, joined Bournemouth in September 2004 before stepping up two levels with Burnley a year later.

He then spent three seasons at Turf Moor before moving on to Doncaster.
