Schmeichel played 10 times for Manchester City

Notts County keeper Kasper Schmeichel has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old has helped the Magpies into a League Two automatic promotion spot but reports suggest he could move to Birmingham or Blackburn.

The former Manchester City player told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I'm happy here. People can talk as much as they want.

"Being linked with higher clubs is flattering, but I have a four-year contract here and I'm enjoying it."

The Dane has kept 16 clean sheets this season, and is in the running to be the Magpies' player of the year.

He arrived from Eastlands in August 2009 as one of several high-profile signings by the club.
