Notts County have cooled their interest in signing former Coventry City striker Michael Mifsud.
Discussions have taken place with the Malta international, who is a free agent after being released by the Sky Blues in the summer.
But BBC Radio Nottingham understands the League Two club are now looking at other targets.
Mifsud, 28, was on loan at Barnsley at the end of last season but has been without a club since leaving Coventry.
