Marcus Tudgay's deflected shot earned Sheffield Wednesday a point in a lively encounter against Nottingham Forest.
Forest dominated early on and Lee Grant saved from Joe Garner before Dexter Blackstock nodded the visitors ahead.
The superb Paul Anderson teed up Blackstock to fire wide before the Owls improved and Tudgay thumped a sweet volley into the corner via Wes Morgan.
Morgan blocked a goalbound Jermaine Johnson shot before Grant tipped over Anderson's 25-yarder as it ended level.
Anderson was at the heart of everything Forest produced going forward and a typically direct run down the left finished with a ball that rolled across the Wednesday six-yard box, no visiting player able to get a final touch.
Luke Varney went close for Wednesday as only some desperate Forest defending preventing him from putting the hosts ahead.
But when Blackstock headed a Forest corner into Grant's arms late on, it was destined to end with both sides having to settle for a point.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws:
"Forest came here to frustrate us, there's no doubt about that.
"They've obviously watched us and said 'if you let them play they're going to hurt you'.
"It was stop-start. We even got a multi-ball system to speed the game up, but I felt we had to hand them the ball on a plate to get it back in play, it was so slow.
"But that's their gameplan and they've got something out of it. But it also tells us teams aren't going to come here and lie down."
Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies:
"We should have taken three points and, not only that, we should have gone 2-0 up.
"In the second half I thought we created enough to win the match, but it's very difficult to play against that long-ball game.
"They were bashing balls forward constantly. Their keeper kicks the ball a mile and it's difficult to play the type of game we're trying to play against that type of game, but we competed well.
"We should have been more clinical in front of goal, but we deserved everything we got."
