Notts County will have their own training ground facilities for the first time in the club's history.
The Magpies have secured a 15-year lease for an area of land in Beeston, that was previously used by Plessey FC.
Chairman John Armstrong-Holmes said: "Many people may not appreciate the full significance of this deal.
"Not having our own base has plagued a succession of managers, and [current boss] Ian McParland was extremely keen to address that."
The facilities will be exclusively for County's use and the training base will also be home to the relaunched youth team.
Armstrong-Holmes added: "No one is more pleased than [McParland] and as with so many things that have happened at Meadow Lane in the past year or so, it's yet another example of how the standards of professionalism are being raised.
"This deal means he will no longer have to hunt around for somewhere suitable for the players to work on miserable mid-winter mornings."
