Hoult joined the Magpies on a permanent basis in July last year

Notts County goalkeeper Russell Hoult says he is determined to get back into pre-season training after picking up a shoulder injury last season.

The 36-year-old missed the past two pre-seasons due to injury and says he has learned not to rush his recovery.

"I was just about getting there last year when the second injury struck," he told the club website.

"I was so eager to get back at times I probably rushed a little too much, but I've learned from that."

Hoult will have to battle with Kevin Pilkington for his first team place.
