Hoult is expected to be out for six to eight weeks

Notts County goalkeeper Russell Hoult has been sidelined for up to two months with a shoulder problem.

The 36-year-old picked up the injury to his right shoulder on Monday and underwent an operation on Wednesday.

Manager Ian McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He just dived for a ball and went down on his shoulder.

"He is going to be a big miss for us but I've got no worries at all about Pilks [Kevin Pilkington] going between the sticks."

The Magpies face Lincoln City at home on Saturday.

The former West Brom and Derby keeper ended last season on loan at Meadow Lane, and only joined the Magpies on a permanent basis at the start of July.
