McParland took charge at Meadow Lane in October 2007
Notts County chairman John Armstrong-Holmes has insisted Ian McParland's job as manager is safe.
McParland has been criticised recently by some supporters, who called for his head following the Magpies' 2-0 defeat at Chester.
Armstrong-Holmes told BBC Radio Nottingham: "He's under no pressure whatsoever - his job is safe.
"Ian McParland is a winner and this football club could not have a better manager than we have currently."
McParland took charge of Notts back in October 2007 when he replaced Steve Thompson.
Armstrong-Holmes added: "What people have to remember is that when Ian McParland and Dave Kevan were appointed, it was a complete rebuilding of this football club.
"The first initiative was to stay in the league last season to enable us to get to the close season and put the infrastructure in place for us to kick-on."
