Notts County have decided not to extend Lewis Neal's loan spell from Preston North End.

The 27-year-old midfielder made six appearances for the Magpies in his month-long stay at Meadow Lane and was named man-of-the-match against Bury.

Manager Ian McParland told the club's website: "We will still be monitoring Lewis's progress.

"He is a very good player who can play in a number of positions but we see him mainly as a left winger."
