Notts County have confirmed Adam Tann's injury is not as serious as first feared after he left the pitch on a stretcher at Scunthorpe on Tuesday.
The defender travelled back with the squad after the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round game and is due to report for training on Thursday.
Manager Ian McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "His eye and cheekbone are a bit badly bruised but he's ok."
Scunthorpe struck twice in stoppage time to take a 2-1 victory.
