Notts County defender Mike Edwards has signed a new two-year deal.
Edwards moved to Meadow Lane on a free transfer from Grimsby Town in the summer of 2004.
Edwards said: "It's always nice to be wanted. My target now is to stay injury free for the next two years and to really help this club kick on."
The 28-year-old, who played 19 games for the Magpies last season after a serious leg injury, also revealed that he turned down offers from other clubs.
He is now free to resume his central defensive partnership with the experienced Michael Johnson.
Magpies boss Ian McParland told the club's website: "He's an influential figure and we need people of that calibre if we are to progress."
