Edwards is facing a spell on the sidelines |
Notts County defender Mike Edwards is set to miss the start of the season after suffering a double fracture of his right leg and a dislocated ankle. The 27-year-old sustained the injury in the early part of Thursday's 2-0 win against St Blazey in Cornwall.
He fell awkwardly when chasing a ball towards his own goal.
Magpies physio John Haselden told the club website: "It's hard to say when John will be fit but it's likely to take months rather than weeks."
