Pipe has made one appearance for Wales |
Bristol Rovers have completed the signing of utility man David Pipe for 50,000 from Notts County. The 23-year-old agreed a three-year deal with the Pirates after making 141 appearances for County.
The versatile midfielder was keen to return nearer to Wales and play at a higher level in a bid to add to his single senior Welsh cap.
Meanwhile, Rovers have agreed new deals with Richard Walker, Chris Carruthers and Lewis Haldane.
County boss Steve Thompson paid a glowing tribute to Pipe, who spent three-and-a-half years at Meadow Lane.
"You can't deny a player the opportunity to play in a higher division. It is also near Wales, his native country," he said.
"He certainly has not been pushed out. David has been magnificent for Notts County Football Club.
"He has done a great job, a great professional and never been a minute's trouble to us."
