McParland happy with duo's return
Notts County manager Ian McParland was happy to see Mike Edwards and Jay Smith back in the squad during the 3-0 defeat at Bradford following injuries.

Both long-term absentees joined in with the pre-match warm-up at Valley Parade.

"We want to keep everyone together," McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham. "They can come up with us and get on the pitch and get a feel of it.

"They've not played for a long time and we just want them involved with us and to get a feel for the atmosphere."

Defender Edwards has been out for six months with a broken leg and dislocated ankle and midfielder Smith was out for four months with a groin injury.
