Notts County midfielder Jay Smith looks likely to be sidelined until the New Year with a groin injury.� Smith, 26, has not played since mid-September and after having a scan will now need to visit a specialist.
County have received better news about veteran striker Jason Lee following his recovery from a broken arm.�
"Jason has been back in training, which is a big boost. It would be terrific to have him in the squad," County boss Ian McParland told his club's website.�
