Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Cohen believes the Reds will climb to safety in the Championship.
Forest are currently second from bottom but have won one and drawn two of their last three games.
Cohen, 21, told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We feel that we're good enough and I don't think any of the games have shown that we're not.
"As long as we keep putting the effort and enthusiasm in we'll get ourselves out of this situation."
Cohen returned from injury in Forest's 1-1 draw with Birmingham on Saturday after being out with an ankle problem.
The former Yeovil player added: "We started the season really well and then had a faulty patch, but overall we're really happy with how we've played.
"We just maybe lack that cutting edge. I'm not making excuses but we have been unlucky with injuries."
