Lynch is on a month-long loan at the City Ground from Brighton
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood was happy to see defender Joel Lynch perform well on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday.
Lynch, who is on loan from Brighton, played the majority of the game before leaving the field with cramp.
"I was very pleased with him," Calderwood told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"I thought he used the ball really well, he looked very dangerous from a couple of set plays and he takes a lot of plusses from the game."
Calderwood confirmed that Lynch's substitution after 88 minutes was nothing to worry about, and the player's discomfort only came from a lack of competitive action this season.
"He had just a touch of cramp - I think he's only had one game for Brighton this season," said Calderwood.
And the Reds boss was confident that the relationship between player and club would be a good one for both parties.
"He's good for us and hopefully we'll be good for him," he added.
