Forest hope Lynch will shore up the leakiest defence in the Championship

Nottingham Forest have signed Brighton defender Joel Lynch on a month's loan, reports BBC Radio Nottingham.

Lynch, who is 21 on Friday, is expected to go straight into the Reds squad for Saturday's game at Plymouth.

Manager Colin Calderwood said: "He's a player I've looked at in the past, and this gives us an opportunity to have a look at him for a month."

Lynch has only made one start and two substitute appearances for the Seagulls in League One this season.
