Holt had been troubled with a groin problem for much of the season |
Nottingham Forest have delayed striker Grant Holt's hernia operation, which had been scheduled for Tuesday. Holt had been playing through the pain of the injury in recent weeks, but Forest have now decided to postpone the surgery for at least a fortnight.
"Grant suffered no adverse reaction to his run-out as a substitute on Saturday," manager Colin Calderwood told Forest's website.
"With Nathan Tyson carrying a knock, we decided to postpone the surgery."
