Norwich City promotion chase is all-consuming - Martin
Martin is the only player to play every Canaries' league game this season
Russell Martin says Norwich City's squad are thinking of little else but promotion to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old full-back told BBC Radio Norfolk the squad are fully focussed on holding on to second place in the Championship.
"Belief and focus gets you there, and the lads aren't thinking about anything else at the minute, family and social life go on the back-burner," he said.
"It's six-weeks that could change the rest of our lives."
Martin added: "For the fans, for us, where you want to be is the Premier League, it's the best league in Europe if not the world, and we're 100% focussed on trying to achieve it."
With most of the squad set to enjoy a weekend without a game on the international break, Martin admits it will be a welcome rest with eight games of the Championship season left.
"The lads are dead on their feet now, they've put in a lot of effort in these last few weeks with the run we've been on," he said.
"We're looking forward to a break, refresh ourselves and come back strong for the Scunthorpe game.
"It's a good time for us to spend some time on the training pitch, get some rest in as well, and prepare properly for the last eight games," he added.
Meanwhile defender Zak Whitbread has been withdrawn from the USA squad ahead of friendlies with Argentina and Paraguay next week.
The 27-year-old, who scored his first goal for Norwich at the weekend, picked up a back injury in the 1-1 draw with Hull on Saturday.
The former Liverpool and Millwall centre-half had been named in his first senior international side after representing the under-20s on five occasions.
