Drury is over Norwich 'nightmare'

Adam Drury has begun to put a nightmare two years at Norwich City behind him since Paul Lambert was made manager.

Drury hardly played under former bosses Bryan Gunn and Glenn Roeder because of various injuries and the loan signing of Ryan Bertrand.

The 31-year-old left-back told BBC Radio Norfolk he is much happier since returning to the team.

"I imagine I've been a nightmare to be around at home the last two years, at the minute everything's ok," he said.

Drury has started each of the Canaries' six league games this season and says the difference in the team since Lambert became manager is clear from looking at the goals against column in the league table.

"Everyone knows what happened in the first game of the season, we were too easy to break down and obviously we got torn apart that day," he said.

"That's something he identified and wanted to make us more solid. You can see in the results we've had and the goals we've conceded, it's a lot less.

"From a defender's point of view that's great, but at the same time we've got to learn to break teams down and go on and win games."

Norwich travel to Stadium MK on Monday night to face Paul Ince's MK Dons, and with Charlton to follow on Saturday, Drury says the next week is the perfect test of their new-found solidity.

"These are the games that people look at when they think where you'll be at the end of the season," he added.

"They're no different to us, these two teams. They want to be challenging at the end of the season, so it'll be a real challenge for us."
