By Chris Goreham Norwich City commentator, BBC Radio Norfolk
Norwich City fans clock up hundreds of miles following their team away.
Have you seen that car insurance TV advert running at the moment starring Paul Whitehouse?
He plays a Plymouth Argyle supporter who clocks up the miles each season following his team away from home.
This advert has rather caught the imagination of the small but dedicated team of reporters in Norfolk who cover Norwich City.
We have much in common with Plymouth fans you see, in that every away trip is, as the ad says, 'a long old poke' from Norfolk.
The fact so many people are willing to drive for so many hours and spend so much money following their team away from home is something that baffles the section of the population which doesn't 'get' football.
The journey is all part of the fun you see. Being a supporter is not just about 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, there are the people you meet, the food you eat and the adventures you have on the way to the game. When your away record is as bad as Norwich City's has been in recent years, you learn not to rely on the match itself to provide the good stories from your trips.
One way of making the miles pass that little bit quicker on the motorway is to show off your knowledge of football - or more accurately those useless bits of footy-related nonsense your brain has soaked up over the years.
My co-commentator at BBC Radio Norfolk, Neil Adams, is a big fan of the football trivia question and loves nothing better than making me agonise over the seven English players to have been transferred for £7 million and yet never play for their country (Carl Cort is one, I am not helping you with the rest) and other such gems as we head for Exeter, Carlisle or Tranmere.
Tired of having my (lack of) football knowledge shown up on a different motorway each week I have decided to enlist the trusty BBC Radio Norfolk audience for help.
If you have any good, testing football trivia questions send them to me [email protected] and we will use some of them on our weekly Norwich City fanzine show 'The Scrimmage' which is on BBC Radio Norfolk each Thursday at 1800.
