Bryan Gunn wants to remain as manager of Norwich City next season, as he attempts to guide them to safety.

Norwich host Reading on Monday needing a win to lift them out of the drop zone ahead of their final game at Charlton.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Yes, I do want the job next season, and I do hope it's as a Championship manager.

"It's a great job, and it's a great club, to be given the job in the first place was the proudest moment of my football career."

Gunn took charge of Norwich in January following the sacking of Glenn Roeder, and despite having no previous experience he says he has relished the learning curve.

"I feel as though I've grown into it, we now need to really focus on the two games to give us the best possible opportunity of playing in the Championship next season," he said.

"I want to be in that league, and I want to be up against the likes of Roy Keane, Alan Irvine at Preston, all the managers we've come up against this season."
