Bauza scored twice in nine starts for Hereford before Christmas

Northampton Town have signed former Spain under-19 striker Guillem Bauza on a monthly contract.

The 26-year-old started the season on a short-term contract at Hereford but left the club in January.

Cobblers manager Gary Johnson said: "He is a player with a good pedigree and I've already seen in training that he is a player with quality.

"Guillem is a good footballer with experience and he will definitely be part of our squad on Saturday."

Before his spell at Hereford, the former Espanyol player was part of the Swansea squad that secured promotion to the Championship in 2008.

Johnson said: "The Wigan manager Roberto Martinez signed him for Swansea and Roberto talks very highly of him."
