Northampton Town fail to overturn ban for Abdul Osman
Osman has played 32 matches for Northampton Town this season
Northampton Town have failed in their bid to get Abdul Osman's ban for his sending off at Port Vale overturned.
The Football Association have given the midfielder a three-match suspension for his foul on Doug Loft in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 League Two draw.
Osman was also sent off in November's 0-0 draw with Vale at Sixfields.
But the Cobblers' appeal against that red card was successful meaning he will not now incur an extra game ban for a second red card of the season.
Osman will miss the games against Morecambe, Aldershot and Hereford, but will be available for the trip to Southend United on 26 February.
