Northampton defender Marcus Hall believes teenage striker Michael Jacobs has a bright future.
The 18-year-old was man of the match in last week's 2-0 Carling Cup victory against Brighton.
"I'll give him as much advice as possible, but he's got a great future," Hall, 34, told BBC Radio Northampton.
"The young lads are willing to learn. The experienced guys will put them back in line if they get out of it, but we're there to help."
He added: "Michael has been getting a lot of attention but he's very level-headed."
Hall joined the Cobblers from Coventry this summer and admits there is a big difference between the Championship and League Two.
"There's a lot more hustle and bustle, and forwards chase you down a lot quicker [in League Two]," he said.
"It takes time to adjust, but I'm enjoying every minute of it and I want to be successful."
