New striker Steve Guinan scored on his first appearance for Northampton Town in their opening pre-season friendly at Southern League outfit Brackley.
Guinan netted after 60 minutes as the Cobblers ran out 1-0 winners at St James Park on Saturday.
The much-travelled 33-year-old, who began his career at Nottingham Forest, joined Northampton from Hereford United back in May.
Stuart Gray's men are back in action on Tuesday evening at Histon at 1945 BST.
