Former Northampton Town captain Chris Doig has joined Australian side Central Coast Mariners on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old central defender, who signed for the Cobblers from Nottingham Forest in 2005, was released at the end of last season.
Doig made nearly 140 league and cup appearances for the club, and will join former Sixfields team-mate Pedj Bojic in New South Wales.
"We wish him every success in the future," said a club spokesman.
